I have just started playing again on the Valcyn Galaxies after so many years. I have a lvl 67 Jedi just from what i've done prior to this profession change. I've got no equipment for a 67 and cannot kill those the same lvl as myself, anyway someone can steer me in the right direction for equipment. Also seems my server is dead, i've seen all of 3 people playing.

Hmm ... Don't know much about Valcyn. As for equipment, I assume you have a level-appropriate lightsaber and Jedi robes?

I'm in the same situation, with just the lightsaber you get from that quest. Level 53, and having immense difficulty taking out blue-cons... :/

I have a first gen and it seems I am useless. As is my galaxy.. I can't even find a crafting tool or the materials to make a second gen. And I have an initiates robe as well. So i'm wayyy behind in the times.

SO no level-appropriate equipment. I'm having a difficult time finding help in the subject of how/where to obtain such things.

The system really isn't designed for jumping in at such a high level, I suppose. We're meant to have spent a long time grinding, so that we know what abilities are useful and where to find equipment we need.

Strange thing is, I know where to send you from about CL60 up. I'll do some checking and report back.

Right now, one thing you can do is start the Legacy quest chain on Tatooine. That'll give you a chance to get some XP and learn how your new Jedi works.

I'm working on the Legacy thing with my Wookiee-Jedi-man.

Is there anything similar in tone for crafters... just grinding seems a little painful, been through it all before... And is there any way to change my specilisation, or should I just start a new character... Went into munitions, but thing structures would be more fun.. (and where does starship crafting come from?)

Starship crafting is structures. You need to visit the respec NPC to change your specialty.

Ok, I'm at about Level 20 in Structures now... (with my trader Paxam on Tarquinas)

Trying to find a high-yield spawn of Low-Grade Ore, but having to settle with sampling at around a 35% (sampling goes faster than my harvestors for some reason, in ~2 hours I get maybe 600-700 units, while my harvestors will only get around 50ish... though I need better harvesters, tbh).

Based almost entirely out of Mos Eisley at the moment, with harvestors dotted around the place (1 wind, 3 mineral, 1 gas, 1 chem) and feeding them all each morning. Trying to gather the resources to build a deed for a small tat house, but need about four to five hundred more ore...

well as for equipment your going to want to have someone help you loot a jedi alcylote robe off cl 50 imps or rebs opisite of what you are as for lightsaber go to the bazar terminal and just put in lightsaber it should bring up crafting kits that you can buy with perfect materials as well as a perfect lightsaber crafting kit. Thiers your armor and lightsaber that should get you started. And as for the server being dead you can go to soe and pay 70 dollars to get you toon transfered to a different server thats more up beat.

I looted a rather nice polearm off some thug dude around Anchorhead, much higher base DPS than my lightsaber, but need to wait 1 cl til I can use it. Also got a very nice sword waiting for me when I hit cl 62. :) Lightsaber stats just seem poor, really.

They do get better. My saber is as good as any melee weapon in the game, and better than most (It's a Jinsu Razor hilt built from a schematic looted from the Emperor's Hand, with server-best resources, crafter buffs and a top-end workstation, then filled with top-end crystals.)

Do you have to use an alt to get resources, is there no way for a Jedi to survey?

Yes. Or buy them. At least, as far as I know.

What level do ya need to be to kill the Emperor's Hand then? 90?

It certainly helps ... even then, you need assistance. She's a gold boss mob that spawns fairly infrequently in the Restuss PvP zone.

AS for the hilt, I beleive it's restricted to CL 85 and above.

Is the schem one-use only?

Would hate to go through all that, then have the ls bollacked by failures in experimentation.

Just started trying to get access to Etyyy on Kashyyyk, but looks like I'll have to grind up space a little bit first. The space aspect of the game seems to be pretty much what it was when I left...

Chapter 8 will bring more space stuff.
