What is your real name? Jake Neri.
What is your official title/position? I am the LucasArts Producer for Star Wars Galaxies.
How long have you been working on Star Wars Galaxies? I started in May of 2006, so a bit over a year now.
What profession do you like to play in Star Wars Galaxies? I have quite a few built out and my favorite is my bounty hunter. There is something about each of the professions that I like, so you might just catch me in a cantina sometime passing out buffs. =)
Other than working on the game, what keeps you playing? The most fun part for me is grouping with friends and adventuring. Getting in a ship, taking missions, battling creatures is all fun times. Since most of my time is spent checking out our newest content that's in development, I must say that I enjoy getting a sneak peek on what players will be playing next and working to make sure that its as good as it can.
What types of things do you do in a typical day at work? Generally I start the day by reviewing information from the day before, looking for any issues that may have popped up that need our immediate attention. After that, depending on where we are at in the Chapter process, I may have a variety of tasks on our plates, like getting an approval from licensing or reviewing a design document. I spend a lot of time coordinating everyone's efforts for dev, marketing and PR, and so a lot of my time is spent making sure that the project as a whole is on track, moving ahead, and no one from any phase of the project has any fires that need to be put out.
One thing I will say though is that there really is no such thing as a typical day. Because we are constantly in development there is always something new and interesting waiting for you just around the corner.
Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why? My favorite Star Wars character is Obi-Wan Kenobi because he was a bad ass.
What's your favorite video game of all time and why? Hard to call my favorite game of all time as there have been lots. I am a big fan of the SOCOM series and have spent many hours battling it out. Maybe God of War counts as a favorite - that game was incredible. I try to play everything that I can and there is no shortage of amazing games out there.
